The Enterprise Transport Management Next-Gen (ETM-NG) program provides the delivery of high availability transport services to DISA Joint Service Provider (JSP). These networks provide levels of service and performance that enable JSP customers to succeed in their missions.

JSP provides more than 38,000 DoD customers a full range of information technology services, solutions and customer support in the National Capital Region. These customers include the Office of the Secretary of Defense (OSD), the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff (CJCS) and the Joint Staff (JS), Washington Headquarters Services (WHS), and the Military Departments (i.e., Army, Navy, Air Force). GDIT's ETM-NG Program is currently in the midst of completing the delivery of a Software-Defined Networking solution for customers at the Pentagon and across the National Capital Region. This modernization is a design improvement while reducing complexity, increasing capacity and providing increased visibility through deployment of the Netscout Infinistream solution.

The ETM-NG Program

  • Supports all activities necessary to operate and manage the IT Transport infrastructure for Unclassified, Secret and TS/SCI in the Pentagon and alternate backup sites.
  • Utilizes Local Area Network/Metropolitan Area Network/Wide Area Network (LAN/MAN/WAN) Connectivity, Time Division Multiplexing (TDM), and TDM technology for Long Haul and Point-to-Point Communications.
  • Installs, configures, monitors and maintains network devices (switches, routers) of data and communications networks.
  • Provides customer support for Voice Services: provisioning, installing and troubleshooting data and telecommunications network infrastructure.
  • Ensures Pentagon employees have the essential network availability for phone calls, internet connection, and pertinent information access they need in order to succeed in their missions.
