Our Shipyard Alteration & Installations/Defense Professional Services (DPS) program provides fleet modernization services to the Navy. Own the opportunity to develop your trade skills and provide an integral service to U.S. Navy ships and aircraft as well as U.S. Coast Guard, and Military Sealift Command ships

GDIT develops, delivers, and sustains communications, electronics, and combat systems with proven capability and reliability. As part of our DPS program, you will aid in the integration of advanced combat, weapon, and unmanned systems. While you are working pier-side, supporting the warfighter, GDIT will enable your career advancement in your chosen trade through the Skills Enhancement School (SKE). GDIT’s SKE School offers a curriculum of advancement opportunities, whether you’re an entry-level candidate, skilled tradesperson, or experienced team lead. The curriculum combines both hands-on and classroom training and comes at no cost to you.

With more than 30 years of continuously growing contracts with the U.S. and foreign Navies, U.S. Coast Guard, and shipyards nationwide, GDIT is recognized by the maritime community as a premier provider of Hull, Mechanical, Electrical, Combat Systems, and Modernization services.
