Larry R. Ellis

President & CEO, DHB Industries
General, U.S. Army (Retired)

Elected to the SRA board in 2006, Larry R. Ellis is President and CEO of DHB Industries, Inc., and a member of the DHB board of directors. Prior to DHB, Ellis served in the U.S. Army for over 35 years, holding positions of increasing responsibility before retiring in 2004 as Commanding General of the United States Army Forces Command.

During his military career, Ellis oversaw multi-year, multi-billion-dollar programs and directed the development of comprehensive strategic plans supporting the Army’s mission. He also coordinated extensive operations and training programs in Germany, Korea, and Bosnia. Between 2001 and 2004, Ellis orchestrated the mobilization and deployment of over 500,000 soldiers and more than a million tons of equipment to locations worldwide.

Ellis serves on the boards of the Armed Forces Benefit Association and UNITECH and holds a number of honors, including the Defense Distinguished Service Medal and the Bronze Star Medal.
